2. When I was trading forex, I used oanda.com. They were very professional. The telephone support knew what they were doing. The spreads were good and there were a wide variety of pairs to trade, as well as spot gold and silver.
3. I have heard some very good reviews about vvirgin capital. I would also recommend you any auto-robot which suits your need. It will make your work easier.
4. Hi!
I would go with MT4 (meta trader 4 platform), it is the most common, easy to use, most EA's are written for MT4 and can also be easily accessed via mobile phone or ipad.

FXCM also has MT4 but there is a catch. Be sure to ask them the requirements for opening a MT4 account.
5. mt4 is very popular these days due to its multiple features but you must be an experienced trader to fully utilize the potential of mt4. lots of ordinary traders still prefer the web based platform. you may check out this site. it offers both mt4 and web based platform plus they provide personalised assistance thru a dedicated account service manager or asm who can also be your mentor and consultant live via phone, email, chat or personal meeting if availalbe in your area. all the best.
6. Just when someone posts a question about forex there'll be plenty of answers pointing to a brand new websites with just 2 copied articles about forex. Be careful with those.
If you live in UK then you should definitely (only) go for an FSA regulated forex broker. Try IG, Capital Spreads, FXCM, just to name a few. There're also a lot of broker comparison websites, but make sure you go for a REGULATED broker, otherwise say 'Goodbye' to your money.
7. I have used Oanda for more than five years now and never had a problem getting my money when I request a withdrawal. My only complaint is that they don't have indicator alerts, but the platform is solid.
Here is a list of forex brokers that are generally considered to be the top 10.
1. Interactive Brokers
2. ThinkOrSwim
3. CMS Forex
4. Deutsche Bank (DB FX)
5. FX Solutions
6. MIG Investments
7. IG Markets
8. Interbank FX
9. Alpari (UK) Ltd
10. OANDA
