What is the difference between a forex broker & a forex trading platform?

Are there websites that do both? Is there a need to use a broker when the online trading platform does it for you?

1. Yes you need a platform with a link to a broker to trade. Metatrader MT4 is the most common platform that brokers use. You can use by it's itself just for charts, or you can trade off it if you have a live account attached to it.

You cannot trade without a broker.
