Is there any country that doesn't allow free currency and gold trading?
According to this article: http://vietnambusiness.asia/crackdown-fears-chill-vietnam%E2%80%99s-dollar-black-market/
Vietnam seems to be the only country that doesn't allow free currency and gold trading (besides North Korea, possibly). But that's just my guess, so do you know any other bizarre country that forbids its citizen from free currency trading?

2. I don't really understand the question. Gold trading is mostly not controlled by the central bank, but foreign currency. Most of the countries have capital control. That means individual can buy and sell foreign currency with some limited amount. And The transaction has to be reported to the central bank. An individual can carry only a limited amount of cash out of the country. For example all countries in ASEAN have capital control, except Singapore
