1. Very few retail traders can open a "real" forex account that can trade against bank trading desks. Probably need $2,000,000 minimum or so to do that, plus be able to convince them that you're something big.

8. I would say it would depend upon your trading goals but if you want a unique way of trading forex with minimal money and risk I suggest you consider ez trader. If you want a traditional platform I would go with interbankfx I have used a number of them and they have great customer service and fast access to your money when you want to make a withdraw. If you are open to learning how to get funding for your trading account, a simple system and some additional income I suggest you visit the second link below. 9. Metatrader 4 is great and it's 100% free. The only one that's even better is Esignal, but it costs at least $150 a month, so if you want my opinion go with MT4.
